Tuesday had no planned actions other than occupying the State House grounds andmaintaining the picket line. Many detractors said that the first time there was rain the protestwould falter. The rain started slowly about 2:00 p.m. and picked up to a strong downpour soonafter. The temperature also dropped. Plenty of donated ponchos were on hand and one car passed several out through their window while stopped at the traffic light. Tents had still not been approved so it was arranged that occupiers would be able to sleep under the State House portico. While the rain did make protesting less enjoyable, it surely didn't dampen ourspirits any.(Photos and info collected between 2:00 p.m. and 6:30)
