The occupation officially began at 9:00 a.m. Saturday. I made it to the State House at 4:00 p.m.
Occupiers were all very excited that it had begun. Counting the Moveon.org event participants
which lingered to merge with the occupation some people estimated the crowd to be as high as
300. The weather was very cooperative.
The General Assembly was tedious. Having just begun the occupation, there were many procedural
questions to be answered and new faces that had not witnessed the decision making process.
All ended well and after the GA was over a good number of protesters went back out to the
curb and remained there until after midnight.
(Photos and info collected between 4:00 p.m. and midnight)
