Occupy Columbia Day Two Update - October 16, 2011

Sunday was another beautiful day weather wise. We had an accordion player drop by and perform his polka version of Blitz Krieg Bop by The Ramones and the food group is really stepping it up with donations from all over the Midlands. There is a group of three teenagers that are here all the time that make everyone's day with their dancing, enthusiasm and pure energy. While there have been passing motorists that express their disapproval with yells and gestures, we were quite surprised when a motorcyclist drove on the sidewalk behind us, cursed us and cut through the picket line and made his way back onto the street. Thankfully, the State House law enforcement officers saw him and were in there squad cars almost immediately without any of us calling for them. The aggressive and reckless driver was caught.
