Occupy Cleveland makes agreement with the city to stay on their occupation 27/7! They did have the take to the verge of Federal Court though. Story >here.


Orange County California has accepted the tents of Occupy Orange County as a First Amendment issue allowing them to stay up. Story >here.

Albany Police refuse to arrest Occupy Albany protesters despite orders from N.Y. Governor Cuomo AND Albany Mayor Gerald Jennings. One officer stated "These people were not causing trouble",another said "The police know policing, not the Governor and not the Mayor. Story >here.

+There is a petition to the White House going around to condemn the recent spat of police brutality against Occupy protesters around the country. You can sign up for it >here.

+Yesterday's clearing of Occupy Atlanta from Woodruff Park resulted in 52 arrests, including Georgia state senator Vincent Fort. Mayor Kasim Reed was originally supportive of the protesters but change his stance abruptly after an unauthorized concert. Story >here.

+There have an increase in requests by law enforcement agencies around the country to have videos of brutality removed from the internet. Youtube and it's parent company Google have revealed in transparency reports along with an "increase in the number of requests to disclose the private data of Google users."  Video> here.

+Iraq War veteran protester critically wounded by Oakland Police:
Using unnecessary force Occupy Oakland was attacked violently Tuesday night with tear gas and rubber bullets. Veteran Scott Olsen was severely injured when a police officer fired a weapon at him from close range. It has yet to be determined exactly what kind of weapon, but Olsen is currently in critical condition and may need brain surgery. The video embedded below clearly shows the officer firing directly at him.

+Occupy Asheville has been given orders to orders to break up their encampment under the Lexington Avenue Bridge. The good news (?), is that they will not be charged fees by the city for extra police presence. The bad news is that Occupiers were denied a waiver of the 10:00 p.m. curfew in city parks so that they could camp in them. It appears that the Occupiers will comply peacefully and within the deadline for evacuation. Story >here
